Blue of a Kind

Blue of a Kind is one brand making new products by using existing products, leaving almost zero impact on the planet. Using what we have is the most sustainable way to buy and it is amazing to see the creative process in up cycling vintage denim. All products are made using vintage denim to create their 19 styles. Let's go over them all.

Psst. the last 10 styles are a sneak peak at their SS20 collection!

This style takes vintage denim and turns it into a sophisticated tapered leg. It is their denim 'non-jean' and is quite the flattering straight leg jean.

Although vintage denim can be rigid, the Olivia has been expertly engineered to follow the curves of your body, without feeling too snug in the wrong places.

Designed to sit low on the hips, this cropped legged beauty is the perfect mix between a relaxed boyfriend and a slim straight leg.

This super flattering high waisted flare jean gives you legs for DAYS! The flare leg is created through panels of vintage denim cut and fit to perfection.

This is the ultimate boyfriend fit. Vintage denim is the perfect weight for boyfriend fits, as it allows for the perfect amount of slouch, yet maintains its structure very well.

This is one of my favourite pieces. The Tecla juxtaposes the effortless vibes of both the trucker jacket and the kimono.

This is hands down my favourite style from Blue of a Kind! The effortless, laidback look these jeans give off is unbeatable. The super wide leg and intricate pocket detailing has been done by paneling vintage denim.

Upgrade your vintage cut-offs with beautifully remade ones. The back pockets feature the original shade of blue by removing the pocket and re-stitching it, showing you how much the denim has faded naturally over the years. The side slit is a super flattering feature and makes your legs look 10 times longer.

The shorts are definitely an everyday pair for me. They feature a bandless waist band, making them all the more comfortable.

The Fedora
A sleeveless top featuring a button closure on the back and round neck tailoring.

The Diomira
This intricate piece is an unlined blazer with defined peak lapels, a contrasting back yoke and back slit, with padded shoulders completing this striking look.

The Tea
A kimono style jacket created from an authentic field jacket. With 3/4 length sleeves and side slits, you can really see the Japanese influence. Its deep and collarless neckline make this piece extremely feminine.

The Irene
This is the trucker jacket revised. It feature drop shoulders and a collarless neckline for a relaxed fit, but also tightens around the waist for a more feminine look.

The Melania
An asymmetrical pencil skirt designed to be mid-length on the left and above the knee on the right. It also features an on trend side stripe panel and raw hems.

The Petra
This beautiful mid-length A-line skirt features a high waist, two contrasting panels, and a back slit for movement.

The Leandra
Now we have the maxi- A-line skirt. This skirt features a mid to low rise waist from a classic face-pocket silhouette. The high slit in the front is balanced with a contrasting insert on the back and finished with raw hems to give that feeling of a little rock and roll.

The Berenice
These retro inspired beauties are a high rise flare leg with a slim fit with a contrast insert at the bottom of the legs, taking us back to the 70s.

The Raissa
A classic cigarette leg based on a classic five pocket jean. This jean features a medium to high waist and contrasting welt pockets on the back.

The New Leonia
A new take on the classic straight leg. The new Leonia is a regular waist slim fit with a relaxed leg and raw hems.

These 19 beautiful styles are all made in the most sustainable way possible. There are enough clothes on earth that we would never have to produce anything new ever again. Let's use what we have and find new ways to up-cycle and recycle our clothing!

Until next time, STAY DILIGENT FRIENDS!
